On my recent road trip through California I noticed that every gas station had a Vapor Recovery Boot on their gas pumps. Filling the  tank on the bike was a PITA. If you inserted the nozzle far enough into the tank to activate the pump you never received a full tank of gas. You had to retract the Vapor Recovery Boot by hand to top off the tank.

This clip simply slides between the retracted boot and the nozzle collar before you begin to fill your tank. Also works great as a bottle opener so you can fill your tank, too.

Laser cut from 6061 aluminum. Tumble burnished finish.

I’ll be on the road all next week. My daughter and I will be taking a bike trip to central California, then over to the coast near Cambria, up the coast road to Big Sur, Golden Gate, Yachats, Newport. Will then take a right and head back over the Cascades to Bend, Oregon. Overall, about 1,750 miles.

Update: We’re back from the trip and it was GREAT !! 1872 miles.. Highlight of the trip… we got lost and found a little lane called Lucas Valley Rd. I should get lost more often. No other vehicles and miles and miles of twisty turn goodness.
