On my recent road trip through California I noticed that every gas station had a Vapor Recovery Boot on their gas pumps. Filling the tank on the bike was a PITA. If you inserted the nozzle far enough into the tank to activate the pump you never received a full tank of gas. You had to retract the Vapor Recovery Boot by hand to top off the tank.

This clip simply slides between the retracted boot and the nozzle collar before you begin to fill your tank. Also works great as a bottle opener so you can fill your tank, too.

Laser cut from 6061 aluminum. Tumble burnished finish.

This is a great little device and works on the premise of applying friction to the throttle grip to override spring tension. I wish I could take credit for the design. This clever piece was originated by Brad Kauffman and published on his site as a “Do It Yourself” project. I built one and loved it. Folks asked me where I got it and after reviewing the instructions, realized they did not have the tools necessary to complete the build or were unable to locate all the small, stainless steel parts. At this point, I have fabricated and sold hundreds of these beauties. If you have basic mechanical skills, this is a no-brainer to install, but it is not “plug and play”.
