I made a few cruise controls this morning. These are designed to fit V-Stars 650 and 1100 with control cables that exit on the bottom of the throttle housing. There are no levers, braces or other external parts that will detract from the look of your bike, just a simple knob under the throttle housing.
About the Cruise Control
This is a great little device and works on the premise of applying friction to the throttle grip to override spring tension. I wish I could take credit for the design. This clever piece was originated by Brad Kauffman and published on his site as a “Do It Yourself” project. I built one and loved it. Folks asked me where I got it and after reviewing the instructions, realized they did not have the tools necessary to complete the build or were unable to locate all the small, stainless steel parts. At this point, I have fabricated and sold hundreds of these beauties. If you have basic mechanical skills, this is a no-brainer to install, but it is not “plug and play”.
